This UCLA-published, peer-reviewed paper provides a deep insight into the reasons why alternative therapies work the way they do
measured against the pitfalls of conventional medicine in their application towards the treatment of cancer. In a world of
publications dominated by conventional treatment methods, we discuss the principles of natural, non-toxic medicine that
can truly deliver cancer patients from their ailment while at the same time restoring their quality of life.
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) uses non-toxic photosensitizers and harmless visible light in combination with oxygen to
produce cytotoxic reactive oxygen species that kill malignant cells by apoptosis and/or necrosis, shut down the tumor
microvasculature and stimulate the host immune system. In contrast to surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy that are
mostly immunosuppressive, PDT causes acute inflammation, expression of heatshock proteins, invasion and infiltration
of the tumor by leukocytes, and might increase the presentation of tumour-derived antigens to T cells.
Pigments that turn caustic on exposure to light can fight cancer, blindness and heart disease. Their light-induced toxicity
may also help explain the origin of vampire tales.
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is based on the concept that a non-toxic dye, known as a photosensitizer (PS), can be localized preferentially in
certain tissues or cells, and subsequently activated by low doses of visible light of the appropriate wavelength to generate singlet
oxygen and free radicals that are cytotoxic to target cells.
Have you ever thought how water reaches every faucet in our homes? Its the plumbing, of course. However, unlike a home where the plumbing is laid down before and the home finished over and around it, our body’s plumbing that delivers water, oxygen and nutrients to every cell in our body is a living entity, capable of growing when and where it is needed.
Cancer is a little bit like a runaway train — the train must be stopped to get the cargo out. Similarly, the first and most difficult
step in treating cancer is stopping the cancer from spreading. Sono-Photo Dynamic Therapy is a Signature Therapy here at
Hope4Cancer, and it’s designed to halt, and then reverse, the growth of cancer.
Hope4Cancer Institute is well known as a clinic in Mexico that has defined the leading edge of non-toxic cancer therapies. For
about a decade now, Hope4Cancer has offered Sono-Photo Dynamic Therapy (SPDT) as one of its key therapies.
I love witnessing the remarkable progress made by our patients using our natural therapies! One of those
treatments – Sono-Photo Dynamic Therapy (SPDT) – is nontoxic and noninvasive, and is used to help patients
heal from cancers of different types and stages.
